Sharing Your Truth" events are gatherings designed for individuals to share their experiences, stories, or ideas. These events serve as a platform to dismantle barriers, elevate underrepresented voices, and motivate others.

All workshops are by donation. Registration is required. Bring a snack to share. Workshops are held at Stone Branch Center for the Arts, located at 114 E. Main St - Front Royal, VA 22645.

WRITING YOUR TRUTH
This workshop invites participants to explore the depths of their expressions to paper. Whether you're a seasoned writer or just starting out, Theresa's expert guidance and interactive exercises will help you find your unique voice and craft compelling narratives. Mixed media art session led by Theresa Jenkins and Tammy Ruggiero, designed to provide you with a visual artistic perspective to express your voice. Through a combination of collage, painting, and drawing, participants will explore various techniques that encourage freedom of expression and personal storytelling. Whether you're an experienced artist or picking up a paintbrush for the first time, this session offers a welcoming space to experiment and play with different materials. Theresa and Tammy will guide you through exercises that spark creativity and help you translate your thoughts and emotions into visual masterpieces. VOICE YOUR TRUTH
An empowering experience designed to help individuals find and express their authentic voices. Participants will engage in interactive activities that encourage self-reflection, creative expression, and open dialogue. The workshop aims to create a safe and supportive environment where attendees can explore their personal stories, confront limiting beliefs, and develop confidence in sharing their truths.
Throughout the workshop, facilitators will guide participants through exercises in vocal expression, storytelling, and mindfulness techniques. By the end of the session, attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of themselves, practical tools for effective communication, and a renewed sense of purpose in sharing their unique perspectives with the world. Whether seeking personal growth or looking to enhance public speaking skills, this workshop offers valuable insights for anyone ready to elevate their voice.

STAGING YOUR TRUTH
Engaging in theatrically crafted exercises, participants will develop an entirely new piece of theatre, allowing their voices, bodies, and creative spirits to explore a novel medium. Led by Bleu Do’zia, who has a rich background in theatre arts, participants will dive deep into the art of performance, transforming personal narratives into vibrant stage presentations. This workshop highlights the significance of movement, dialogue, and improvisation as vital tools for expressing genuine experiences. Participants will partake in a variety of activities designed to ignite imagination and foster collaboration, culminating in a showcase of an original piece that celebrates diversity and individuality. This journey ultimately empowers everyone involved through the shared experience of storytelling in theatre.
